Gentleman's Game

Too many zeros to begin the cricketing day with…

2000th test match in the cricketing history, 100th between India and England, Sachin will try to get his 100th international century here at Lord's (a fate he is yet to achieve), 10, number of test matches India has lost at Lord's…(L)

What a day in the history of the game, the Gentleman's game, and what better venue could one have asked for, The Lord's.

Dressed in all whites, two teams with two umpires descend from the pavilion for this match, the mother of all test matches.

India, at the moment 1st on the ICC Test Cricket Rankings, taking on England at their home turf, some call it the Mecca of Cricket (Lord's), a contest between the teams representing the countries, one where the game was originated and one where the game is a religion. And imagine, Day 1, its been raining for the past 4 days and still a house-full at a test match (pheeww), well that's the cricket craze you can neva explain… :D

P.S. – Wanna watch a match at Lord's at least once in my life…!! J

  1. Rain played a spoilsport but yea.. the match is a big one. I felt while watching news.. too much unnecessary pressure being created for Sachin. In our own lives we often try to minimize the stress, lower the stakes and try to be most focussed when on the threshold of something that 'could' be big, but in their lives nothing is beyond analysis, no statistic is left in unheeded.. i feel jittery even at the prospect of such turmoil, which makes one nervous and could impact the play.. these guys do have nerves of steel i guess..
