Potter-more

Well…what best to begin with, the thing you cannot let out of your system. And this being the latest film I saw, so it makes all the more sense to write about it. It is just like one of your favorite food, which you have and have and have till you are completely stuffed but you still feel that you can never be fulfilled. Well the books had ended their era sometime ago…. but now the last installment of the harry potter movies is also out…(sigh…L)…and will be gone soon.

Hats off to JKR for weaving such a mind-blowing story and binding it with such strong characters. And to some extent the screenplay writers, directors along-with JKR who made great effort in adapting the books into movies…(My personal adaptation being the Prisoner of Azkaban…J)

Now coming to the latest venture in the series, the best part was no doubt the entire build-up to the Battle of Hogwarts, from the moment Mc Gonagall confronts Snape to protect Harry, and bringing the statues and knights to life to protect the school, Prof Filtwick and Slughorn along-with Molly Weasly casting protective spells around Hogwarts and making an inter-twined web of protection. And who can forget the amazing shot in which Neville cuts off Nagini's head in slo-mo.   Amazzzinngg…..

Talking about a bit technical stuff, spell-binding special effects and a great and difficult effort in editing and trying to show each and every character coming together at the end…no doubt it would have been a hell of a job to decide what to cut and what to put…(what's gonna be in the final cut among the arguments between the director, producer…phewww)

As it always happens in adaptations…you tend to compare it with the book, take references from your imagination and end up being disappointed as places, but as it is a film, cinematic liberties are a must…its different to explain in words and reproduce the same in visuals. (as the gringotts part in the movie kinda happened to easily and quickly…well….)

Come what may, a decade of Potter movies has ended, the little kids playing the character have become hot babes and handsome hunks. But Harry Potter has had an everlasting impression in our lives…glad that it happened during our lifespan.

This is it then…. but the post cannot end without thanking Prof Dumbly (if reading, you know, thanks a lot), whose book I took a leaf from and got inspired to have a blog.

Cheerz…and Expecto Patronum (keep your personal Dementers at bay)
